Chen Hongsheng, a doctor, is now an associate professor of the School of Architecture, Southeast University. He obtained a doctor's degree in urban and rural planning from the School of Architecture, Southeast University in 2018, a master's degree in human geography from the School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University in 2014, and a bachelor's degree in resource environment and urban-rural planning management major from Sun Yat-sen University in 2010. He acted as a visiting scholar at Michigan State University between August 2016 and August 2017. Currently, he is leading a program funded by NSFC. He has published more than 60 academic papers and more than 10 conference papers on domestic and foreign academic journals such as Cities, Habitat International, Transportation Research Part D, Sustainability, Urban Studies, Health & Place, Urban Planning, Urban Planning Forum and Acta Geographica Sinica. He has been invited to be the reviewer of more than 10 magazines, including Cities, BMC Public Health, Research in Transportation Economics, International Journal for Equity in Health, Sustainable Cities and Society, International Journal of Urban Sciences, Social Work in Public Health and Urban-rural Planning. In recent years, with regard to practice of planning programs, he has participated in urban system planning for urban agglomeration, national economic and social development planning, industrial and territorial space planning, etc.
