Dr. Min Hequn is currently assigned as Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the School of Architecture, Southeast University China.
He received his Bachelor & Master degrees from the School of Civil Engineering in Southeast University China in 2003 and 2006 respectively and his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Acoustics in Nanjing University China in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, he worked as a research fellow in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, focusing on active control of flow-induced vibrations in hard disk drives (HDDs).
When he was a Ph.D. student, his fundamental research on room acoustics and outdoor sound modeling got published in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America that is the world’s most prestigious journal for acoustics research. His postdoctoral research is on active control of flow-induced vibrations in hard disk drives, on which he had several publications in journal of IEEE Transactions on Magnetics that is one of top academic journals of international research in HDDs.
Dr. Min is currently an invited reviewer for several international academic journals, such as Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, Measurement, and Frontiers of Architectural Research. He is a full member of Acoustical Society of America (ASA), International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
