Dr. Shan yong is the Professor of the Architectural Department in Southeast University located in Nanjing, China. He served as the Teaching Secretary, then the Associate Dean of the Department and directed the undergraduate program.
Dr. Shan graduated from the architectural department of Nanjing Institute of Technology in 1982 and received his Doctorate in Engineering from Southeast University in 2004. He received the Architectural Education Prize by Architectural Society of China (2012); the First Education Award by National Supervision Board of Architectural Education, China (2008).
Dr. Shan has many publications, such as his PhD dissertation Historic Studies of Western Academicism of Architectural Education (2012). His major award-winning works include the Museum, Library and Urban Planning Exhibition Hall in Cangzhou, Hebei (the First Design Award by Jiangsu Government, 2015); Jiuqu Street in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian; the Laboratory Center in Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Jiangsu; and Gao Ershi Memorial Hall.
Dr. Shan has been teaching courses in architectural design and theory over 32 years He practices in cultural, educational and official architecture design. Each project transforms an embedded cultural convention into public aesthetics.
