Dr. Yang jing is the associate professor of Southeast University and the supervisor of graduate student in architecture department. She was born in 1975 and graduated from Southeast University in 2005 and gained the doctor degree of architectural design and theory.
Dr. Yang started the research and practice of residence design, planning and design management from 2001. In this period, she worked as the architect in the design department of Vanke Co. in Nanjing and went on the work to the headquarter office in Guangdong as the manager of architectural design research center.
Dr. Yang started the research and teaching in Southeast University in 2005. She devoted herself mainly in the residential design, planning and the research of residential space structure in the urban planning level. With rich experience on the practical projects of residence. She also engaged in the research of the residential problems of the low-income groups in China and the eco-technology application of the residential design. In 2010, she was selected to join the SIDA international project of “development and design of low-income residence” held by Lund University.
Dr. Yang is an active scholar in both scientific research and practical design. She has published 6 books and more than 15 articles on core journals. She has also initiated and participated more than 5 scientific research funded by national or provincial department.On the practical design, she has taken the leadership in more than 20 architectural design and construction projects. Most of the projects has been completed.For her excellent works, she has won 1 national research award and 2 provincial research award.
